lyrics
Drive me home
On inky roads
Your eyes look tired
As they’re fixed on the passing lines
You won’t give up
You have my trust
As you drive me
Home
I’m home
Inky roads
I’m home
Home
I’m home
Inky road
I’m home
Stars are scarce
The night is old
The headlights glare when
Shadows from trees
Fade as we breathe
Your eyes are wide
Your hands are firm
As you drive me
The whole album is otherworldly. The sound qualities make me feel, similar to the first track, underwater. Maybe mermaid pop sounds like this. The honesty and bare-bones sounds are beautiful and I hope she continues to be bored at Grandma's house if it helps keep creating these lovely tunes. 😊 🌊 🎶 eclecticsheep
I haven't cried during the first listen of a pop song in a long time, possibly ever. But Marsh just did it to me. This is deeply moving music. burbnluvr
Eliza's voice reaches deep within a part of you that you forgot was even there. Generally not even the kind of music I listen to much these days, but this voice...reaches beyond genres. There's so much love, heartache, and renewal in these songs and this album has such a depth and story to tell. SuzyQZ
Released in 2001, “The Convincer” is a gentle gem in the Nick Lowe catalog; an anniversary edition provides opportunity for rediscovery. Bandcamp New & Notable Sep 20, 2021
